Horzons for Homeless Children

There are over 16,000 homeless children under the age of 5 in Massachusetts alone.
Horizons for Homeless Children strives to give every child an opportunity to learn, play and thrive.
Their statewide Playspace program provides safe and consistent opportunities to play and use their imaginations while in shelter.
They have 3 early education centers, staffed with specifially trained teachers and family advocates

The mission of Horizons for Homeless Children is to improve the lives of young homeless children in Massachusetts and help their families succeed by providing high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services.

"Thanks to our specially trained staff, whose efforts are supported and amplified by hundreds of committed volunteers and donors, Horizons provides hope and opportunity to the families we serve. Our four pillars of work include:

Early Education Centers: We operate one of the state’s top-ranked early education programs, which starts children along the path toward success at school.

Playspace Program: We give children in shelters play experiences that let them be kids for a few hours each week.

Family Partnerships Program: We give their parents a much-needed respite from the difficulties of homelessness, a shoulder to lean on, and practical guidance toward getting their lives back on track.

Policy & Advocacy: We highlight the unique needs of homeless children and families to ensure they are consistent priorities among policymakers on local, state, and federal levels."

Support CrossFit Arsenal, a local box struck by tragedy

CrossFit Arsenal, a gym located only a few miles away from City Line, tragically caught fire on Tuesday August 28th after a telephone poll fell, landing on a car and igniting a fire.

Thankfully no one was injured but this devastating event has left a community - similar to the one at CFCL, in need of support.

One of the many things that makes CrossFit special is the support within each community. But on a larger scale, the support among the local and global CrossFit community is what makes CrossFit something stronger then any one box or athlete.
In an effort to help this local box rebuild and cover damages, a portion of the total fundraising will be donated to CFA.
